The Metropolis Building, or Edificio Metrópolis, is one of the landmark buildings of Madrid. Its dome-like tower is covered with many pieces of 24 karat gold. Designed by Jules and Raymond Février and inaugurated in in the early 1900s, its distinct French influence makes the building stand out among the others along Alcalá and Gran Via.
