At the base of the ArtScience Museum’s curved facade at Marina Bay Sands, lies an oculus. Rigid beams criss-cross and support the main structure, while also giving the interior a modernistic flair. Rain water is collected through the oculus, and flows down to a pond below to be recycled as non-potable water within the museum’s restrooms.
To show the entire span of the oculus and the collection pond, I have rotated the image 90 degrees ala Inception. The vertical strip on the left is actually the collection pond. Forgive the trippy orientation
