The Golden Pavilion at Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺), Kyoto. Covered in gold leaf, the pavilion is meant to house Buddhist relics. Spanning three stories, each level of the pavilion was designed with a different architectural style. I would have loved to visit this place when it’s snowing.
