High Altar

The interior of Sagrada Familia is so unexpectedly lofty and grand that I stood rooted near the entrance for a few minutes just to take it all in. It is unlike any Catholic church I’ve visited, filled with details so uncommon and visually varied that taken together, should have made it look silly instead of fantastical.

Of course, with every single person who likes it, one is also likely to find another who loathe it. A quick visit to TripAdvisor will find many visitors who prefer the more traditional basilicas like the La Seu Cathedral.

This is fourth in a series of posts on [La Sagrada Família].
