Gazers at the Nativity Facade

DPP_0974v6

The Nativity Facade is the oldest facade of Sagrada Família. It portrays the birth of Jesus, and is amply decorated with figurines of the Holy Family, angels and even flora and fauna. This tiny square in front of the facade is usually full with visitors, angling their heads up to take in the facade’s vast expanse.

This is seventh in a series of posts on [La Sagrada Família].

  1. I took both Art History, American Art History and Ancient Roman Art and Architecture….I absolutely am amazed by the skill of the artisans during a time period when they had no fancy devices to help them sculpt or build…Amazing.
