The modern glass facade of Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona’s gem of a concert hall, belies its exquisite Modernisme origins. Designed by Lluís Domènech, the Palau was built for a choral group named Orfeó Català, which eventually became a driver of the Catalan revivalist movement. Accordingly, the Palau too, became one of the enduring icons of Catalan culture.
