Church of Vera Cruz

DPP_1549.2

This peaceful looking structure in Segovia has a lofty beginning. Built in the 1200s by the Knights Templar, a medieval secret society, it was believed to have been used to safekeep a fragment of the true cross.

Photo taken from within the Segovia Alcazar, where the view is especially pretty with winding roads and rolling hills.
