Jin Mao Tower

The Jin Mao Tower is an 88-story skyscraper in the Pudong district of Shanghai. Although it is no longer the tallest tower in the city (that honor goes to Shanghai World Financial Center), it remains one of the most distinctive buildings in Shanghai. While its base is relatively simple, the top of the tower resembles a postmodern Chinese pagoda, showing complicated geometric patterns.

This shot was taken on a very overcast day. As a result, the overall image is muted but hopefully somewhat mysterious.
