Near the center of the gardens, close to the two conservatories, twelve of the eighteen Supertrees are clustered together in what is dubbed as the Supertree Grove. The grove is pretty large, and the trees are up to 50 meters tall, so it is pretty challenging when it comes to framing your shots. I have opted for wide-angle ground perspective shots that show the Marina Bay Sands hotel in the background. A nice bit of flare completes the image.
I think it’ll also be interesting to stand below the trees and shoot straight up, but unfortunately, it didn’t occur to me back then.
One quick and useful check is to ask yourself what you’re doing differently from another photographer to make an image uniquely yours. It’s something I should do more often myself!
