Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination/ The City

Apologies – I think the words somehow got removed in the previous submit!!

What you see here is the Fullerton and Boat Quay Area of downtown Singapore. The short colonial building is the Fullerton building. Constructed in the 1920s, it used to house the General Post Office. I’ve always loved how it contrasted with its modern neighbors- makes the skyline so much more interesting!

Same as the previous pictures, this shot was handheld, albeit with the very excellent 50mm f1.4.

    • One of the best things I like about prime lenses is that they are tack sharp, perfect for moments like these. It’s always a huge burden for me to carry them on my trips, but the results are justified most times.
