I am used to seeing the St. Peter’s Square packed with tons of people. On television anyway. When I visited, the square was relatively empty although there was a snaking queue to get into the museum. Unfortunately the skies were pretty grey, and made it difficult to get good images of the main basilica facade. In fact, grey and muted earth tones were the colors of that day. This was one of the better ones I managed. Hopefully, the black-and-white manages to evoke the stateliness of one of the most important landmarks in Christendom.
