Wood Nymph

For today’s portrait, I’ve blended the curvature of the tree branch into the makeup brush as my wife gets ready (for our wedding in fact, almost 5 years ago). The end effect is that the sakura tree appears almost as if it were an organic extension of her. Or least a very elaborate piece of costume. Something like this would have been close to unachievable using double exposure, unless you plan your portraits really well in advance.

  1. Over the recent times that I have been able to look at people’s post, I have noticed your blog and also that your wife is your great inspiration. You have her photo in all the blogs you have posted and that is a beautiful way to renew the sweet memories you share. Your blog is one of my favorites Zhang Wenjie. ;_)
