After last week’s black and white series on Casa Milà, we visit Casa Batlló this week. Casa Batlló has a more colorful facade compared to its counterpart, and is as wildly evocative as Casa Milà’s rooftop. It looks like a sea creature anthropomorphized/ transformed into a building. And those balconies – one of a kind! Nicknamed House of Bones, Casa Batlló was designed in 1904, and has been refurbished a few times since. From its roots as a place of residence for the Batlló family, it subsequently housed offices. Today, it functions as a museum, and can also be used for events.
