With an one-hour break between conference sessions, I made a quick dash from Moscone Center to Alamo Square, to pay a visit to the world famous Painted Ladies. In yet another continuation to the Misadventures of the Clueless and Unprepared in SF, it didn’t occur to me that the square would be located in a quiet residential area, bereft of the cabs that trawl Market and Mission. After enjoying the splendid view on the gentle grass slope, I gamely resisted the urge to blow off the rest of the day and just lounge on the grass, and made the lonely 2 mile trek back to Moscone Center. Seriously though, anyone in SF should make it a point to visit Alamo Square, preferably during sunset. The view is simply unmissable.
