One of the most commonly known photogenic views of the Grand Canal can be had from the Rialto Bridge. When the sun dips below the horizon and the City of Water gradually lights up, the panorama is breathtaking. I was just starting out with photography when I visited Italy, and haven’t yet developed the obsession of camping out at a spot until sunset. Even then, the picture turned out well enough.
